My SCORM Organisms,

I thank you for your remarks and inquiries concerning the domain of SCORM. These queries will only bring you closer into the intimate shrine and ceaseless gorge for which most surrender to the untainted torment of shareable content objects and the complete trepidation of the reference model…your assimilation is upon you!

From the last blog post, it was asked “Are there any alternatives to SCORM (said in a feeble voice)?” Obviously, the bacterium that asked this question is being obstinate to the inexorable conclusion and defeat to the ALMIGHTY SCORM! Nevertheless, if I must…I must answer the question, but only to bring all too certain inference that all will be SCORM SUBJECTS!

There has been one…and only one inferior rival to SCORM. I would prefer not say such language for it is beneath SCORM, but it was called Aviation Industry Computer-Based Training Committee (AICC). AICC was originally developed for aviation training simulations prior to SCORM when security protocols did not exist in web browsers (HTTP, now we use HTTPS). To ensure secure eLearning (I must remind all subjects SCORM is for developing eLearning) the MIGHTY SCORM came down from the heavens and SMITE the lowly AICC…back in 2014.  Some remanence remains of that putrescent AICC but only in whispers and shadows for its deprived factions fear for their lives and their unsecure eLearning to be assimilated and righteously secured by the SCORM.

Oh…how I dream of the day that the zeros and ones will secure and encapsulate AICC disciples and bring them into the dominion of SCORM.

My SCORM Disciples,

I thank you for your remarks and inquiries concerning the domain of SCORM. These queries will only bring you closer into the innermost temple and boundless chasm for which most succumb to the pure agony of shareable content objects and the sheer terror of the reference model…keep them coming!

My assimilation to SCORM started a millennia ago while aiding a cohort to improve/replace eLearning for a nationwide militant group.  Majority of the work was contracted out to a syndicate that mostly consisted of ghostwriter mercenaries that possessed a piece of parchment that stated “I am a creative writer...pay me.” These imaginative playwrights along with their Overlord and their outsourced graphic designers/illustrators that they kept locked in their dungeon created scenarios, storyboards, characters and graphics. These items are then packaged and put into digital media. The media, in this case are shareable content objects that will later be placed into a Learning Management System (LMS).  The objects must abide by a standard that all LMSs can read…a reference model.

As an instructional designer who may have to be subjugated to eLearning (such as distance or distributed learning), SCORM would be your ‘precious’ but only with inter-fandom professional relations with all or part anime, Star Trek and Star Wars factions to aid you in completing your task of reviewing, validating and pushing out the engine of mind/behavior augmentation to the masses. These digital commando cartels have many names such as Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) or Distributed Learning Support (DLS) to name a few. Don’t be alarmed…the inner circle of these wired warriors are very friendly and are always willing to put down their pulse rifles and push CTRL, ALT & DELETE to ensure proper encapsulation of the shareable content objects that was received from an overpaid guild of scriptwriters to be placed into an LMS.

The final product of this eLearning has been since sent out to assimilate the masses and further the subjugation to the militant groups rule.
